Several outraged Republicans and conservatives accused the congresswoman of being anti-Christian

Rep. Ilhan Omar is catching heat from several Republicans for appearing to mock a Christian group singing spiritual songs aboard a plane.

As reported by Mediaite, the Minnesota Democrat shared a video from an EasyJet flight that was captioned, “Worshipping Jesus 30,000 feet in the air,” and posted on Instagram on April 9 by Jack Jensz Jr. According to TMZ, Jensz is the founder of a group called Kingdom Realm Ministries. The video was reportedly filmed amid a trip to Europe while the ministry was heading to help out Ukrainian refugees, per Esquire.

“#Jesus is taking over this Flight,” Jensz captioned the footage of the mostly-white Christian group. Several Omar haters noted that the flight was chartered and therefore the passengers “can do whatever they want.”

The video appeared to go viral over Easter weekend. In the caption of the clip she shared on Twitter, Omar wondered what the reaction would be if her Muslim family held a “prayer session” on a flight.

“I think my family and I should have a prayer session next time I am on a plane. How do you think it will end?” Omar tweeted. And with that… several outraged Republicans and worshippers accused the congresswoman of being anti-Christian, according to Fox News.

“Are you ever happy or is petty just your default setting?” tweeted one user to Rep. Omar.
