Beginning in 2008, Donald Trump became the poster boy for racism in America. Trump began his political career with his attempt to discredit Barack Obama based on

Trump lit the torches of white supremacy in Charlottesville. We must extinguish them.
By Petula Dvorak Columnist August 13 at 9:32 AM
Yes, the white supremacists have always been with us. A parade of racist bigots is no surprise to anyone familiar with our history, especially those who
have been the target of hatred and violence for centuries. But when the mob of white men marched in Charlottesville carrying flaming torches Friday
night shouting “Heil Trump” as the curtain-raiser for a day of violent clashes with counterprotesters that left three people dead, they showed the world
that America is once again playing with fire. And Trump was the one with the match.
The symbolism was not subtle. Torches, witch hunts, flaming crosses — they all stretch back to our country’s founding. All those white-power bros knew
exactly the kind of fear they were trying to evoke, even if their tiki torches came from Home Depot’s end-of-the-season patio sale. Read More.....

The president says his demand that National Football League owners fire those players who protest racial injustice by kneeling during the pre-game national anthem is about patriotism and respect
for the flag.
That claim is rejected not only by the NFL, but by Trump's history on the topic and by the context. It was at a campaign rally in Alabama where the president told NFL coaches to get the "son of a
bitch" off the field if the player kneels and to fire him from the team.
It is no coincidence that most of the protesters are African Americans; about 70 percent of NFL players are black. There is a long tradition of some black athletes protesting injustices, notably
Muhammad Ali and two Olympic sprinters in the 1960s.
Trump's event in Alabama was to support Republican Sen. Luther Strange, who faces a tough challenge in Tuesday's election where almost all the voters will be white.
Trump has a history of playing the race card, which may fuel some of his support among white working-class voters. For years, he led the absurd charge that Barack Obama, the first African-
American president, wasn't born in the United States, and last year he called a judge unqualified because his parents were from Mexico.
In August, he refused to draw any distinction between the white nationalists and neo-Nazis who caused violence, including a death, in Charlottesville, Va., and the people protesting against them.
After strong objections from Republicans, and even from some members of his own administration, he seemed to back down, but then doubled down on his initial sentiment.
He's also in a feud with the Golden State Warriors, canceling the customary visit of the National Basketball Association's championship team to the White House. This was after star player Stephen
Curry wondered whether he'd want to attend, given Trump's divisiveness on race. Other stars in the NBA — which is about 75 percent African-American — weighed in. Especially vehement was
Lebron James, who called Trump a "bum."
NFL players protest during national anthem
Players throughout the NFL protested during the national anthem on Sept. 24-25, 2017, in response to comments made by President Donald Trump, who said over the weekend players should be
fired for kneeling.
Trump's insistence that the NFL flap is about respect for patriotism rings hollow given his penchant for duplicity on that count, too. During the presidential campaign, when he pulled out of an
Iowa debate, he said that instead he would raise $6 million for military veterans, including $1 million of his personal money. Months later, news reports revealed he had not raised that $6 million and
given none personally. Trump quickly wrote some checks the same day the article appeared. He also belittled the war-hero stature of Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., who as a Navy pilot during the
Vietnam War was shot down and spent 5 1/2 years as a prisoner of war. "I like people who weren't captured," Trump said. Trump himself evaded the Vietnam War, he said, when he got a doctor's
report that he had "bone spurs" in his heels. He added later that this condition was only temporary and that he couldn't remember the name of the doctor. But he once explained that avoiding
sexually transmitted diseases in the 1960s and '70s was "my personal Vietnam. I feel like a great and very brave soldier."

President Donald Trump on Friday angrily accused Iran of violating the spirit of the
landmark 2015 nuclear deal, blaming it for a litany of malign behavior and hitting its main
military wing with anti-terrorism sanctions. But Trump, breaking with a campaign pledge
to rip up the agreement, said he was not yet ready to pull the U.S. out or re-impose
nuclear sanctions. Instead, he kicked the issue to Congress and the other nations in the
seven-country accord, telling lawmakers to toughen the law that governs U.S.
participation and to fix a series of deficiencies in the agreement. Those include the
expiration of several key restrictions under "sunset provisions" that begin to kick in in
2025, he said.

President Trump will scrap subsidies to health insurance companies that help pay out-of-pocket
costs of low-income people, the White House said late Thursday. His plans were disclosed hours after
the president ordered potentially sweeping changes in the nation’s insurance system, including sales of
cheaper policies with fewer benefits and fewer protections for consumers. The twin hits to the
Affordable Care Act could unravel President Barack Obama’s signature domestic achievement, sending
insurance premiums soaring and insurance companies fleeing from the health law’s online
marketplaces. After Republicans failed to repeal the health law in Congress, Mr. Trump appears
determined to dismantle it on his own.

By Walter Smith, Publisher Philadelphia Observer
White House Chief of Staff John Kelly appeared before a group of reporters to defend Trump’s
insensitive statement to the widow of fallen soldier La Davis Johnson.
Myeshia Johnson accompanied by members of her family and Congresswoman Frederica
Wilson were waiting to receive the body of her husband who had been killed in the line of duty
in Niger Africa when she received a call from President Donald Trump.
In the course of the president’s condolences he allegedly said “He knew what he signed up for
… but when it happens, it hurts anyway,”
This remark apparently upset Mrs. Johnson and she began to weep.
The phone’s speaker was on and the remarks were heard by everyone in the vehicle.
Congresswoman Wilson brought the matter to the attention of the press.
The question is, did the president call the grieving widow to console her or to antagonize her? I’
ll be the first to say the president had good intentions.
However, Donald Trump has verbalized and demonstrated that he is extremely insensitive to
people of color. He has demonized Black Lives Matter and advocates them being categorized as
a Terrorist organization. He has referred to a young football player as a son-of-a-bitch. He has
encouraged violence against people of color at his political rallies. He has categorized black
communities as extremely dangerous places to live. Congresswoman Wilson had good reason to
Additionally, Trump habitually never admits to being wrong and refuses to apologize for his
transgressions. He has doubled down on his denial and has called Congresswoman Wilson an
outright liar. Trump tweeted: "Democrat Congresswoman totally fabricated what I said to the
wife of a soldier who died in action (and I have proof)," "Sad!" "I didn't say what that
congresswoman said. Didn't say it at all," Trump told reporters during a meeting on tax reform
in the Cabinet Room. "She knows it. And she now is not saying it. I did not say what she said."
Asked if there was a recording of the call, Press Secretary Sanders said: "No." As usual Trump
is lying and bluffing about proof. Note: Frederica Wilson is not backing down on what she
heard the president say.
White House Chief of Staff John Kelly says that he coached Donald Trump on what to say to
the widow and told him to express to her that her husband had acted honorably in making the
decision to accept a dangerous position as a soldier. Mr. Kelly clarified the context of that
statement as well. He continued, "He was doing exactly what he wanted to do when he was
killed. He knew what he was getting into by joining that one percent. He knew what the
possibilities were because we were at war and when he died he was surrounded by the best men
on this Earth, his friends," Mr. Kelly said this is what he advised the President to say.
Mistake! Trump's mouth goes astray when he is not reading a prepared speech from a
The single phrase “He knew what he was getting into” was just the tip of the iceberg. The
president could have at least called the name of Sgt. Johnson, he never called the widow’s name
nor that of Sgt. La David Johnson. His reference was “Your Guy”.
Given Trump’s stated and implied attitude towards people of color, Congresswoman Fredrica
Wilson’s actions were justified in calling attention to the insensitive statement and Chief of Staff
Kelly didn’t think her reasoning through before becoming “appalled” at her actions.
While I recognize the unintended error of the president, I do not ignore the added comments by
John Kelly. He went well out of his way to demonize Congresswoman Wilson. Surely his
comments were motivated by the president who didn’t have the decency to recognize his error
and apologize to the distraught widow. Kelly’s words were meant to demean, deflect blame and
refocus this horrible insult. What should appall John Kelly is his own weakness that allowed
him unfairly attack Congresswoman Wilson in an effort to defend the indefensible.
Referencing the dedication of the FBI building in Miramar Florida in 1952 Kelly said, "A
congresswoman stood up, and in a long tradition of empty barrels making the most noise, stood
up there in all of that and talked about how she was instrumental in getting the funding for that
building, and how she took care of her constituents because she got the money, and she just
called up President Obama, and on that phone call, he gave the money" the $20 million to
build the building, and she sat down, and we were stunned" Kelly said during his press
conference on Thursday, stunned! “None of us went to the press and criticized, none of us
stood up appalled, we just said okay fine”!
That, coming from a four-Star Marine General was a deliberate, bold faced lie".
The most egregious part of Kelly’s diatribe was his reference to Congresswoman Wilson as an
Little does he know, Congresswoman Frederica Wilson is one of the most dynamic, dedicated,
committed, and productive women in all of Florida. She rose from School Teacher to Principal,
to member of the Florida Legislature, to U S Congresswoman with a long list of
accomplishments behind her. Most notable is her 5000 Role Models of Excellence program.
"Empty Wagon", I don't think so. While Kelly was developing the false narrative on her
bragging about securing $20 million for construction of the FBI building why didn't the
narrative include her many accomplishments? He didn't do any research, he and Donald Trump
cooked up that demeaning lie to besmirch the congresswoman knowing his audience would
"I was not in Congress in 2009 when the money for the building was secured, Frederica said, so
that’s a lie". How dare he? "However, I named the building at the behest of (then-FBI Director
James Comey) with the help of (then-House Speaker John Boehner), working across party
lines. So he didn’t tell the truth".
Every word, every inference of that statement by John Kelly was a lie.
Apparently Kelly prepared the condolence statement for Trump and Trump prepared the
"Empty Barrel" statement for Kelly.
This entire incident should give every American pause. This is what has happened to America
under Donald Trump. This is the type of propaganda used by foreign agents to discredit
Hillary Clinton during the 2016 presidential elections. This narrative generated to discredit
Congresswoman Wilson was not done by someone who attended the dedication ceremony.
Kelly said he attended the ceremony in Miami Florida. The ceremony was held in Miramar
Florida 25 miles northwest of Miami. If this narrative is Kelly’s doing, which I doubt it is, he
should be stripped of his military rank and severely disciplined.
Lies, Lies, Lies from every aspect of Trump’s cabinet. Lies to discredit Barack Obama. Lies to
silence opposition to Trump and his disastrous policies.
Is there no length the Trump administration will not go to defend this vulgar, immoral, lying,
racist, admitted sexual predator? Shame on Donald J. Trump and shame on General John Kelly.
General Kelly can redeem himself my issuing an apology to Congresswoman Wilson. He claims
to have been present during the building dedication and knows full well he or a surrogate lied on
the congresswoman to placate Donald Trump.
In December of 2016, three leading professors of psychiatry wrote to Barack Obama
expressing their grave concerns over Trump's mental stability:
“His widely reported symptoms of mental instability - including grandiosity, impulsivity,
hypersensitivity to slights or criticism, and an apparent inability to distinguish between
fantasy and reality - lead us to question his fitness for the immense responsibilities of the
office,” the professors from Harvard Medical School and the University of California wrote to
the then President, urging him to order a “full medical and neuropsychiatric evaluation” of the
This infectious disease has found its way throughout the Trump administration. Some through
his personal selection and others just fell in line out of fear.

Eight people died and 11 injured in the worst terror attack on New York since September 11, 2001 as a
lone wolf extremist screaming "Allahu Akbar" used a pick-up truck to mow down cyclists along a bike
path on Halloween.
The attacker struck just a few blocks from the site of the World Trade Center memorial, running over
afternoon riders on the path before reaching a road and ploughing into a school bus.
He then jumped out of the truck wielding what turned out to be a pellet gun, and a paintball gun. He was
chased and shot in the stomach by a police officer but survived and was arrested.
The suspect has been identified as Sayfullo Habibullaevic Saipov, 29, an immigrant from Uzbekistan,
who arrived in the US in 2010. He has a Florida driver's license but was reportedly living in Paterson,
New Jersey, with family, sources told local media.
US media, citing police sources, said that Saipov left a note in the truck claiming he committed the attack
on behalf of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant.
President Donald Trump wrote on Twitter: "Looks like another attack by a very sick and deranged
person. Law enforcement is following this closely. NOT IN THE U.S.A.!"
Mr Trump blamed the attack on Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant which has encouraged its followers
to use vehicles to mow people down. The UK, France and Germany have all seen deadly vehicle attacks
in the recent past.
The US president added: "We must not allow ISIS to return, or enter, our country after defeating them
in the Middle East and elsewhere. Enough!"
A White House official said Mr Trump had been fully briefed by his chief of staff John Kelly and was
being "continually updated".
Prime Minister Theresa May said she was "appalled by this cowardly attack, my thoughts are with all
affected. Together we will defeat the evil of terrorism".
The attack begun shortly after 3pm when the truck mounted a bike path that runs down along the
western edge of Manhattan, along the Hudson River, at Houston Street.
It headed south, smashing into pedestrians and cyclists as it picked up speed and leaving bodies
crumpled in its wake.
Those who spotted the vehicle had little doubt the intention was terror, unable to think of another
explanation for what they were seeing.
"I was just going to watch a baseball game " said Eugene Duffy, a 43-year-old eye witness to the
"I saw a truck and he was clearly in the bike lane at three in the afternoon.
"Then I saw two gentlemen lying on the path with tyre marks on their bodies. They were not moving.
"He was going really fast and they didn't know what hit them."
Jamal Lewis, a 17-year-old student who witnessed the attack told The Daily Telegraph: “I was walking
down West street and heard a loud noise behind me. I saw the white pickup truck run over two cyclists
and carried on. People were around their bodies, but they were dead. There was no screaming, people
were in shock.”
The attacker continued all the way until Chambers Street - a distance of round 20 blocks - before
heading back to the road.
The truck smashed into a yellow school bus, injuring children and adults and leaving sizable dents in
The crash happened just a few blocks from World Trade Center memorial.
The attacker was left injured but not incapacitated. Stumbling from the car, he pulled out what appeared
to be two guns - but were later confirmed to be a paintball and pellet gun.
"Allahu Akbar", he begun to shout - "God is Great" in Arabic - as passersby screamed and ran in all
James O'Neill, the city's police chief, confirmed that the suspect made a statement that suggested
terrorism as a motive when he exited the vehicle.
"If you just look at the M.O. of the attack, that's consistent with what's been going on. So that along
with the statement has enabled us to label this a terrorist event," he said.
One witness said the driver looked “confused” and appeared to be injured in a “pretty bad” way. Others
said he was limping.
"A whole load of people came running past my way saying ‘he’s got a gun, he’s got a gun’, the witness
By coincidence, a New York police officer stationed close by heard the commotion and was able to
Witnesses recall hearing between five and ten shots. The NYPD later confirmed the attacker had been
shot in the abdomen and taken to hospital.
The officer was praised by Bill de Blasio, the New York Mayor, while other officers said it was that
quick thinking that had prevented more "carnage".
Soon half a dozen ambulances and a dozen fire truck had rushed to the area and police cordoned off the
road. Two police helicopters buzzed overhead.
While details were preliminary and the investigation still underway, the mayor said the suspect
appeared to have been a lone wolf and not part of a wider plot.
In the aftermath of the attack, shocked office workers stood at police cordons with children and parents
on their way to Halloween parties.
One children's' party at a small park near the scene of the attack had to be cancelled as the area was
secured by police. Dozens of children in fancy dress, many crying, were led away.
One of the mothers, Michelle Williams, said: "My kids are in complete shock. They don't understand
what's happening. They have been looking forward to tonight for weeks - it's supposed to be the most
fun night of the year. I don't know what I'm going to tell them. How do you explain this?"
The city's main Village Halloween Parade went ahead as planned last night - but with an extremely
heavy police presence. New Yorkers refused to be cowed by the attack.
"You can't let the terrorists win," said Sam Rosenthal, who was on his way to a Halloween party. "I
think New York is like London - after something like this, you have to get on and live your life without
fear. Otherwise they win."

Officials praised the police officer who confronted and shot the suspect in Tuesday's
deadly attack in New York City, which is being investigated as an act of terrorism.
The uniformed officer, Ryan Nash, shot the man suspected of driving into a bike and
jogging path in the abdomen, New York City Police Department Commissioner James P.
O'Neill said in a press conference. Police said the suspect made a "purposeful turn,"
killing at least eight people and injuring many others.
In the press conference today, Mayor Bill de Blasio called the incident, which happened
in lower Manhattan near One World Trade Center, a "cowardly act of terror."
O'Neill said the truck collided with a school bus at Chambers Street, injuring two adults
and two children, after striking multiple people along the pedestrian bike path.
After the collision, the truck driver exited the vehicle brandishing what appeared to be
two handguns, police said. Nash confronted the suspect and shot him in the abdomen,
The suspect was apprehended at the scene. Multiple law enforcement officials told ABC
News that the suspect in custody was identified as 29-year-old Sayfullo Saipov of
Tampa, Florida. The suspect was taken to an undisclosed local hospital for treatment,
A paintball gun and a pellet gun were recovered at the scene, police said.
The suspect is reported to have screamed "Allahu Akbar" after the crash, and that is a
reason authorities are looking at terrorism as a possible motive, sources said.
