*A new video reveals the harrowing moments before Florida rapper Julio Foolio was ambushed and killed by gunmen outside a Tampa, Florida hotel. The incident, which occurred on June 23, just two days after the Jacksonville, FL native’s 26th birthday, left Foolio dead and three others injured.

The surveillance footage from the shared parking lot of a Hilton and a Holiday Inn shows the masked gunman waiting for Foolio’s black car. Foolio had been celebrating with friends, moving from an Airbnb to the hotel, a move he documented on his Instagram shortly before the shooting.

The video captures the gunman, armed with what appears to be a semi-automatic rifle, sprinting through the parking lot at 4:37 AM. He begins firing at Foolio’s car, which desperately tries to escape by speeding around a corner but hits a curb in the process. Other gunmen can be seen in the distance, indicating a coordinated attack, TMZ reports.

The shooter fired from point-blank range, and Foolio was killed in the attack. Three other individuals in the vehicle sustained non-life-threatening injuries, and the suspects managed to escape the scene.
