A Raleigh, North Carolina teenager Eziya Bowden experienced a scary ride with Lyft alleging she jumped from the back seat of a moving car because of the driver’s “suspicious behavior.”

The 17-year-old’s injuries landed her in the ER after jumping from a moving Lyft a few miles from her house. Bowden followed her intuition to flee the vehicle after the driver questioned her on personal matters.

“How many boys flirted with you?” He said that right away,” Bowden explained to WBTV. “‘Oh, you just look good. I would date you if you weren’t so young,” Bowden said the driver said to her.

Bowden says his topic of conversation wasn’t the only unsettling clue — Bowden says the driver sprayed something in the air, which made her feel dizzy and warm, prompting her to assume she was feeling drugged.

“When I got in his car, it did smell like cigarettes, so when he sprayed one time, it was already like, ‘Oh, it no longer smelled like that.’ But for you to keep spraying it, then roll your windows up, like, I know it’s not about me being nervous or anything,” Bowden said.
