Until The Flood stars Dael Orlandersmith in a gripping solo performance set in the aftermath of the Michael Brown shooting in Ferguson, Missouri in 2014.

Until The Food draws you in to experience each character that she portrays on a personal level, as they observe the political incorrectness and grapple with their feelings about the complex society in which they dwell.

Officer Wilson alleged that Brown was reaching for his gun.  The community responded in an uproar, which resulted in marches, protests and ultimately an investigation of the Ferguson Police Department by the Justice Department.  They determined a pattern of racially biased law enforcement.

As unsettling as the subject matter is, Until The Flood is unique in that it doesn’t just portray another version of a grieving family and friends, but it delves into the hearts and the homes of the bystanders.  The silent majority that make up for the population.

Through masterful writing and acting by Ms. Orlandersmith and direction by Neel Keller, the audience sees the honest truth of what our friends and neighbors really feel.
