William Hardison Sr., a 63-year-old who identified nationally as a Moor, exchanged hundreds of rounds of gunfire with law enforcement after they came to evict him from the property on the morning of Wednesday, Aug. 23.

Seven deputies arrived at his home around 11 a.m. to get Hardison out of the apartment. Deputies said they attempted to reason with him, but he would not concede.

“We tried to make contact, we were outside the house, called for him, tried to bring him out peacefully to execute the order, but clearly that was not on the cards today,” Allegheny County Sheriff Kevin Kraus said to reporters.

What should have been a simple removal escalated quickly. Hardison fired his guns from the first and second-floor windows and through walls at the officers.

“He had a lot of ammunition in that house, we were all strapped with ammunition, but all had to call for more ammunition,” Kraus said. “We tried to give him every opportunity to come out, but it elevated to the SWAT team’s response.”

Missing 15-Year-Old Girl Found Fatally Shot In Detroit Alley http://philadelphiaobserver.com/missing-15-year-old-girl-found-fatally-shot-in-detroit-alley/ Thu, 19 May 2022 16:22:26 +0000 https://philadelphiaobserver.com/?p=3801

After being missing for almost three weeks, the body of Janiya Brown has been tracked down.

The teen was found last week near an abandoned car, which was parked in a debris-filled alley in westside Detroit. She had sustained multiple bullet wounds, and the black Chevy Malibu she was next to had been stolen a couple of days prior.

“Words can’t explain. My baby girl was right here,” the teen’s father, Jason Brown, said while visiting the alley in question.

“I know she couldn’t get away from these people. She ain’t do this,” he added. “She was forced to do it. She a kid, she a child.”

Brown was reported missing back on April 23 from Berkley, Michigan. While the teen originally hailed from Ohio, she recently relocated to Michigan to live with her aunt after her mother was killed last year.

However, just a few days after arriving in The Great Lake State, Brown ran away. While she was known to do so, she ultimately never returned after this last time.

No Charges for Co-Worker Who Fatally Shot Black Man on a Camping Trip http://philadelphiaobserver.com/no-charges-for-co-worker-who-fatally-shot-black-man-on-a-camping-trip/ Sat, 19 Mar 2022 11:19:28 +0000 https://philadelphiaobserver.com/?p=3584 The man accused of fatally shooting Peter Spencer while on a camping trip in rural Pennsylvania last December will not be charged, according to ABC News.

Members of Spencer’s family had previously voiced frustration with the handling of their son’s death by authorities and called it a “modern-day lynching.”

According to ABC News, Shawn White, the district attorney in the case told reporters, “We believe in this case that there is enough evidence presented for self-defense that we are not going to be able to overcome our burden and show this was not self-defense beyond a reasonable doubt, and for that reason, there will be no charges filed against the suspect in this case.”

He adds that it was his “call” and “I believe it’s the right one.”

White Woman Caught Stealing BLM Yard Sign In North Carolina, Then Waves to Camera: ‘It Was Really Unnerving’:

From ABC News:

Spencer who is Black, went on a camping trip with a co-worker, who is white, in Rockland Township, Pennsylvania, on Dec. 11, 2021. A few hours after going on the trip, in the early hours of Dec. 12, Pennsylvania State Police were called to the scene and Spencer was found on the front lawn of the rural cabin with nine bullet wounds in his body, including six in his chest.

White said Spencer was using hallucinogenic mushrooms and started “acting crazy” as he fired multiple rounds from an AK-47 he had brought with him. White said Spencer was “not ambushed” and that he began firing the gun and ordered other campers to stay at gunpoint. Spencer’s co-worker then shot him.
