The highlight of Daniel Jones career came January 15th, 2023 when he led the New York Giants to a 31-24 playoff win over the Minnesota Vikings in which he threw for 301 yards, two scores, and ran for another 78 yards. That was the end of his fourth season. We are now already in his 6th season after a injury in the fifth game of last season due to an injury in early November. Up to that point, Jones had thrown two touchdowns compared to six interceptions in six games.
There is plenty of talent around Jones headed into this 2024 season. The Giants added wide receiver Malik Nabers who was a superstar at LSU. Jaylen Hyatt scored five touchdowns on 207 yards receiving against Alabama two years ago in college. The defense is loaded with talent too, including the addition of Pro Bowl free-agent linebacker Brian Burns.
Giants play Minnesota in Week 1 of the NFL season this Sunday at MetLife Stadium. Jones has to pick up from where he finished in that playoff game a year and a half ago. He is the key to their season. How Jones goes will determine everything else for the this Giants season.
