The Black Lives Matter mural was painted in front of the Trump Tower last week in order to send a message to the authorities. In response, President Donald Trump has called BLM movement a “symbol of hate. “

After the mural was restored, Mayor Bill de Blasio addressed the incident on Twitter. “To whoever vandalized our mural on 5th Avenue: nice try. @NYC_DOT has already fixed it.”
In recent years the Black Lives Matter movement has become a global organization that combats racism and police brutality. Since the death of George Floyd and the intensification of protests, several murals have been vandalized across the country. According to local station, WABC, New York City police are still looking for the person responsible.
